Just found out today I will be attending the Island Chicks show in Anacortes WA again this Nov. 14th.  I am so excited.  I really love this show. I will be showing off some of my new Ornaments. What do you think?

I am adding some photos below of the amazing work these fabulous women made.   Thank you for a wonderful class Clare, Kimberly, Pat, Wendy, Julie, and Carol.  You made my first year at Missa such a joy and everyone created some amazing pieces.  I hope to see you all next year.

Rule One:  Steampunk fashion is a real-world reproduction of the clothing that is or could be found in steampunk literature. It’s that simple.
Rule Two: When in doubt, dress Victorian and then add.
Rule Three: Steampunk fashion is about creating an outfit that delights the senses, entertains the wearer, and engages the viewer.

I have been having fun working with some old watch parts tins I have.  I have buckets full and have been trying to figure out how to use them.   These tins have been punched, pounded, drilled, painted and now they look like this.  I am having a blast.  I will be adding more as I make them.  I love the added elements of the watch parts and the fact you can see through them.  Next I will be adding the tins to other steampunk pieces I am making.   More to come......

I put together some more charms.  I just love doing this.  I find the pairing up of objects very soothing.  What type of things do you like to use in charms? 

Another new Steampunk found object piece.  I am loving working with these tiny tins.  It is amazing the things you see when you really start looking.  They do take a long time to create but the end result is worth it.
