NYC 'Steampunk Loft'     see full article here

My heart is sad but it has happened.  The famous Steampunk Loft has been down-modeled.  Apparently there is not a high end steampunk loft market.  I believe when it first went on the market they listed it with a 2million price tag.  If I had the money and wanted to live in N.Y. instead of WA. I would have purchased this loft all Steampunked out.  What are your thoughts on it?

Every year for the last few years I have gone to Phoenix to teach as a visiting artist at a high school.  It is always a challenge to come up with something new for the kids to do.  I have used the Steampunk them as it is always something they seem to enjoy.  This year I created a tag that they could use.  We discussed the difference between and Icon and a Logo and I had them all create an Icon that represented themselves to be showcased on their tags.  I thought I would share a few of their amazing pieces.  It is only a sample of the 160 students.  I must say I was so impressed at what they came up with.  

This was my original creation
