Happy New Year to everyone!  Good things are happening.  I awoke this chilly Washington Morning to find I had a notice from Twitter that K.W. Jeter  is not following me.  For those of you that don't know how big that is, this is why I am so Excited.....
Kevin Wayne Jeter (born 1950), known both personally and professionally as K.W. Jeter, is an American science fiction and horror author known for his literary writing style, dark themes, and paranoid, unsympathetic characters. He has written three (to date) sequels to Blade Runner.
BUT EVEN MORE IMPORTANT IS....Jeter is the first to coin the term "Steampunk,"[2] in a letter to Locus magazine in April 1987, to describe the retro-technology, alternate-history works that he published along with his friends, Blaylock and Powers. Jeter's Steampunk novels were Morlock Night and Infernal Devices.
This is an actual Twitter feed conversations with him:  I cut and pasted sorry for the mess.
@kwjeter You created the term "Steampunk"? How did you come up with that? What did you mean by it? Happy with others' interpretations?

@kwjeter It was an off-the-cuff response to all the cyberpunk fuss. And I think what others have done with it is great!

@kwjeter Though it surprises me how far the "steampunk" thing has traveled, I am pleased so many find it fun.

It sure made my day that he started following me.

I would love to hear of good things happening to you since the new year... please share. :)
